Hey guys! Happy Hump Day!
Hopefully your week is going along just swimmingly. If it’s not, well at least you are half way through the week!
So I thought today I would pose a interesting question – do you have a signature color?

As a child, my favorite color would fluctuate based on whatever colors I had left in my crayon box that week. Used up all my greens, well my new favorite color was blue! It’s funny how easily we bounce back from things at that age.
As some of you who have been visiting my blog for a while now, my style falls pretty securely into the “girly girl” stereotype. I love the color pink and wear it often! Don’t believe me, check out this post, and this post, oh and this one as well. Oh and if you didn’t catch it, I just so happen to be wearing this pink dress in today’s post as well.
Here’s the thing; I use to get pretty embarrassed at my love for pink. A huge part of me believed that to be an “adult”, I needed to cut a few personal joys out of my life that I deemed childish. Last year, I attempted to make some changes to my apartment decor and personal style all for the sake of feeling more like and adult. My insecurities over where my life was headed were really ranging at that point.
The results? Well I can tell you that I didn’t feel any more like an adult than I did previous to those changes and on top of that, I was pretty unhappy. Not surprising given that color plays a huge part in mood and emotions.
So what does the color pink represent in our psychology – well it’s a color that soothes and calms yet represents hope and optimism. That sounds pretty awesome to me and I’m planning to wear the heck out the color for the rest of my “adult” life.
So let me know, what’s your signature color? I’d love to hear from you guys what colors represent you as a person!
