Happy Hump Day! Is anyone else counting down the hours until FRI-YAY? Honestly, this may sound weird but this week I got hit hard with the winter blues. I’ve been feeling overall exhausted and just plain off this week. It didn’t help that Chicago got another snow storm and temperatures have forced me to pull out the heavy duty jacket. Winter, I’m officially over it.
To combat the winter blues I’ve been injecting my work wardrobe with some spring like colors like this light pink scalloped skirt. The knee length skirt and subtle detail make it ideal for anyone who works in a professional work environment like mine. Although I’ve never been a fan of turtleneck sweaters in the past, they’ve recently made their way into my winter wardrobe rotation. How did I become a fan of turtleneck sweaters after being fiercely opposed to them for years? Well I currently share an office with my male co-worker who happens to claim that the office is as hot as the sun. I on the other hand am always cold and try and turn on my space heater whenever possible. We often bicker about the temperature of the office and therefore I’ve had to learn to bundle up at work to avoid shivering. If this is what life would be like living with a husband, I say separate living quarters would be necessary for my sanity.
For those of you gals who are over wearing the pants on super cold days, these opaque tights are the best purchase I’ve ever made. They are supportive without being restrictive and keep my legs warm. however this could also be attributed to the fact that I haven’t shaved my legs in days…. Did I also mention that they are only $12!
How are you guys getting through the winter slump? I would love some ideas!
