I recently resolved to pair down my wardrobe to a color pallet of just a few colors. It’s no lie that I’m a huge fan of the monochromatic look, one of my favorites can be seen here. With the recent challenge of sticking to a limited color pallet, I was concerned that I would get bored with my clothes. However this challenge has surprisingly opened up my creative mind and taught me to play around with more than just color but texture as well.
The scalloped edge detail on this blouse I recently picked up made me fall in love with the pattern again. Would a mono-pattern outfit be too much? I a paired this blouse with a favorite skirt of mine for a brunch date with a few friends at Yolk. (side note: Yolk may not be fancy but oh god are the pancakes delicious!) I loved the way this outfit turned out and it just goes to show you, texture can be another way to keep your clothes stylish and chic.
