Spring on Trend // Polka Dot Dress

An under $50 polka dot dress from LOFT

While it may not feel like spring just yet…come on Chicago, I’m tired of seeing snow on the ground; I’m all about spring trends for this spring/summer season.

As some of you may have noticed, polka dots are making a huge come back for this season and 8 year old Monica is geeked about this. True story, I went through a phase during my childhood where I would only wear polka dot dresses and no one could convince me to wear anything else. Thankfully I had an awesome grandma that made all my clothing for me as a child and catered to my demands.

Adult Monica may not be wearing polka dots every single day, but they are a great sophisticated print for the workplace. I picked up this LOFT polka dot dress last week during their spring sale. It’s currently under $50 and I couldn’t recommend it enough; size down though the dress is very roomy. The fabric is light too so it makes for a great throw and go dress for those mornings when you want to sleep in a bit more and only have a few minutes to get out the door.

Since it’s been freezing in the city lately, I paired it up with my go-to moto jacket from H&M. Seriously, I’ve had this jacket for 5+ years now and it’s still in great shape, plus it’s also currently on major sale for under $50.

So if you are looking for a reason to hop on this spring trend, don’t hesitate!
