Friday Night // A Modern Way To Wear Pearl’s

An updated way to wear pearls this spring season

Hello Friday! It’s the weekend baby and I’m about to have me some fun….

For those of you in Chicago, it’s St. Patrick’s day weekend and that means the city will be abuzz with activities. Chicago take’s St. Patrick’s day pretty seriously and for the first time since my early 20’s, I’m participating in the festivities with a themed bar crawl through the city. Wish me luck!

On Friday’s, I like to end the work week with the most comfortable “throw on” outfit I have in my closet. A pair of skinny jeans and a button down blouse; my new go-to uniform of sorts.

I’ve been surprised in my own wardrobe choices as of late, just a few years ago I would have avoided button down shirts at all costs and these days I find myself purchasing this boyfriend button down (my favorite) in every single color. Goes to show that you don’t have to disregard a whole style/trend, it’s just about finding the right piece that makes the difference.

On another note, has anyone else noticed that belts are making a huge comeback. From this Gucci belt that everyone is obsessed with to belt bags making a statement during fashion week, I have a feeling this trend will blow up this summer. Even I’m jumping on the bandwagon as I picked up this double circle pearl belt from ASOS a few weeks ago and have been pretty obsessed with it. I wore it earlier this week with this English Factory dress. You can pick up here at the budget friend price of $20.

So what are your plans this weekend? Anyone else planning to celebrate St. Patty’s day this weekend?
