Coat Tales Remixed // Houndstooth

T.G.I.F. Man – this week seemed to drag on so slowly, I thought Friday would never come. With the colder temperatures and lack of sunlight, I’m starting to get fatigued with winter. Anyone else?

At least we’ve got the first signs of spring on their way with daylight savings time happening this weekend. Remember to change your clocks and “spring forward” by one hour.

Now let’s chat about a more fun topic… thank you to everyone to has been sharing and commenting on my latest Ellevate Your Career post! The response has been so wonderful and I appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm on the series. I’m excited to create more content for you guys soon.

If there is one thing that been putting more pep in my step, it’s been this houndstooth coat I picked up from Zara last month. You guys, this coat is $100 and 100% worth every single penny. I get compliments every single time I wear it. It’s also super versatile; I wore it last month here with a skirt and today I pulled it over a sweater and black skinny jeans.

While I won’t say it’s the warmest coat I own (I mean, it’s basically 30 degrees every day in Chicago), it’s a great base layer to throw on underneath that puffy jacket, plus it gives you that extra “I look so put together” look.
