Does anyone else feel like this winter is dragging on… I mean, it was just 40 degrees this past Saturday and the very next day Chicago got hit with a snowstorm that kept me in for the entire day. I’m starting to slowly lose my mind with the up and down weather patterns.
With the blistering cold weather, I find myself gravitating toward more cozier pieces like chunky sweaters and thicker sweatshirts. It’s always been a struggle for me to balance out comfort with professional wear, but I think I finally cracked the code on it all. Think you can’t wear a sweatshirt to the office and still look professional? Well you can!
I picked up this eyelet sweatshirt (comes in a few colors!) from SheIn earlier this year and instantly fell in love with the material. Eyelet is a huge trend this year and I’m loving it. My eyelet skirt and eyelet dress have been my favorite new purchases as of late.
Unlike traditional sweatshirt material that’s made out of heavyweight cotton, this sweatshirt has a bit of a sheen to it which makes it look more expensive than it is (under $20!). I’ve been digging the way that this sweatshirt, when paired with a great pair of jeans, makes me feel like I put in effort without actually having to put in any effort.
So how do you wear a sweatshirt to the office? Pair it with a flow-y skirt to balance out the casual top. I work in a more business casual environment, so I tend to have a bit more freedom than most when it comes to what is office appropriate. This look has become a favorite of mine lately and a great way to extend the life of your weekend wardrobe.
So tell me, how do you wear your sweatshirts? With yoga pants for a athleisure look or dressed up with heels & jeans?

Thanks Jessica! It’s also my favorite part about the sweatshirt too, especially since I’m someone who rolls up their sleeves all the time.
