Even though I’ve been keeping most of my weekends low key, they have been going by in such a flash it makes it seem like they almost never happened. I spent most of the weekend catching up on my to-do list but went out Saturday night with Peggy to check out Coda di Volpe (it was delish!) and to see Bianca del Rio’s comedy show “Blame It on Bianca”. If you are fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race this show is a must see! It was hilarious and oh so inappropriate, just like Bianca.
Unfortunately, Monday’s show up every single week. So I hope you are all fueled up on coffee and ready to start the week with a bang.
I for one am excited for the warmer weather we are to experience in Chicago this week. At least I won’t need to bring out my snow boots and puffy parka jacket this week which is already a huge win in my book.
I’ve started to pull out a few spring pieces from the back of my closet, prepping to start transitioning my wardrobe from chunky sweaters to lighter layers. I’ve been wearing this blouse for the past few weeks and it’s made for a great transition top; light enough for warmer days but also make a great layering piece underneath a sweater for on the days a cold snap hits.
I took advantage last week’s President’s Day sales and picked up this perfectly plaid skirt from LOFT for only $30! Since I’m not looking to add too many new winter items to my wardrobe, the price point was a big selling point for me. It just worked out that I’m in love with the zipper detail and print.
I’m living in this so far and this whole look reminds me of another winter outfit, a favorite of mine and yours (it’s my most popular post to date!), that I wear on rotation. What can I say, I’m a fan of the all black look…
With that, I’ve got a extra large coffee in my hands and it’s back to the 9to5 grind. Let’s do this.
