The All American // Red, White & Blue

How to wear red, white, and blue to the office

Hello Friday!

For those you in the Mid-West, I hope you are enjoying this light jacket weather. For the first time in weeks, I’m starting to see the signs of spring slowly getting closer and closer to us. We are just about done with the first month of the new year (anyone else feel like it flew by?) and I’m ready to start a new month.

For those of you that don’t follow me on instagram (username: @onandoffduty) I started a new insta-stories feature on Wednesday’s dedicated to wellness. Each month this year, I’ll be challenging myself to complete a new health and/or wellness trend for 30 days. This month, I’ve taken on intermittent fasting and I find it fascinating – check out my “wellness” tab for the full scoop.

On another note, I’m starting to embrace color and prints in my wardrobe again. The minute the sun starts to shine in Chicago, I get giddy and start bringing back the color pieces and prints out from the back of my closet. My current favorite combo is this all American ensemble consisting of a bright red pencil skirt and a printed blue blouse.

Fun fact: I’ve had this skirt since college! If you ever needed more proof that quality over quantity makes a difference….

With warmer temperatures on the horizon, I started to scoop up all the 3/4 sleeve blouses I can get my hands on. It’s the perfect length for these in-between temperatures. I’ve been a fan of 3/4 sleeve dresses for years and slowly but surely they are making their way into my closet more and more.

So I would love to know what you guys plan to do this weekend! Do you plan to stay inside or make the most of the sun and warmth – let me know!
