This will be my 5th fall season living in Chicago (seriously guys, time flies by so fast!) and if there is one thing I learned, is that having a coat closet full of options is not only encouraged but also necessary in a city that’s nicknamed “windy”.
While my parka gets the most use throughout the winter season, every once in a while when the weather is the perfect fall temperature, I like to pull out a pop of seasonal color in the form of a colorful moto jacket.
I picked up this lovely butter yellow jacket for under $50 on ASOS! (size down, it runs large) Since I tend to gravitate toward jewel tone colors during this time of the year, I was surprised at how much I loved the deeper yellow color and I was even more please pleasantly surprised that it fit so well into my favorite fall pieces.
With embroidery also being a huge trend this year, I was happy to pull out a favorite skirt of mine that I picked up last year (still available!) for a night out on the town. It was one of those lovely fall nights in which we could still eat out on the patio and stay warm and comfortable with just our jackets on.
This fall, go bold.
