I’ve been feeling a bit nostalgic lately; specifically of the years where I spent the entire month in Europe exploring various cities and not caring about anything other than spending time with my family and exploring the world.
After almost 10 years away, I’m heading back to Europe tomorrow and huge part of me feels like I’m going home. To say that I’m thrilled would be an understatement; I’m sure most of you are already tired of hearing about this trip!
Unlike most of my vacation packing, I tend to under pack and keep things to a simple carry on, this time I’m brining a pretty large suitcase filled with some of my favorite dresses from this summer. I did pick up a few new things for my trip and one of them happened to be this lovely lavender sweetheart neckline dress that instantly makes me feel like I’ve been transported in time to Paris in the 50’s.
Has anyone seen the movie Midnight in Paris? It’s actually one of my favorite movies and a great comedy. I highly recommend it!
I already know this dress is going to in heavy rotation on my trip as it comes with a built in bra (score!) and is in the lightest material you could imagine. Yes, it’s scuba print but trust me when I say that it feels like you aren’t wearing anything at all.
I’ve also got a bit of a style tip for your gals out there that don’t feel like a midi dress flatters you but you also hate anything too short. (when did everything become so short!) If you are a lady of average height but prefer dresses to hit you around the knee, buy a midi dress in a petite. The length of the dress will hit you right at the knee, just like this dress does for me.
So if any of you have some places in France or Spain that you think I should hit up, please let me know! I’ve got two days in Paris almost to myself and I can’t wait to explore some newer parts of the city.
