Happy Friday, Ya’ll!
Hopefully you read that in a southern accent because that’s what I was going for. For those of you in the Chicago area, I’m heading to the WindyCity Smokeout this weekend so if you will be there, DM on Instagram and let me know!
If you are on the fence about attending, I highly recommend it. I’ve been attending every year since the country music festival started and it’s one of the highlights of my summer. I eat my weight in BBQ and enjoy the line up of country stars.
In other musical news, have you guys ever heard that Demi Lovato song “Cool for the Summer”? Yes, I realize I’m behind and yet I recently discovered the song this past week and have been pretty much listening to the song non-stop, hence the title of today’s post.
I’ve had quite a few events to attend this week and I was looking to switch things up a little while sticking to my tired and true formula. While my go-to style in the summer season is one of my fit & flare dresses, this week I picked up this adorable black tulle skirt from H&M.
There is something about tulle that makes me feel extra fancy, especially with this look which in total was less than $100. My favorite part, this tulle skirt will be doing double duty this year as it’s a great base skirt for the Christmas holiday season. Slip on a metallic glitter top and some festive heel and boom – instant Christmas cheer.
So how do you guys style your tulle skirts for the summer? Let me know!
