Do you guys remember when TGIFriday’s was a thing in the 90’s? Just about everyone and anyone would stay in on Friday nights because it was by far the best night on television. From shows like Full House and Family Matters, to my personal favorite Blossom, we all grew up with a show that we fondly remember growing up with.
Last week I decided to revisit a few of my favorite childhood shows that are currently streaming on Netflix and rediscovered my love for Blossom, the 90’s comedy series that starred Mayim Bialik. It’s so funny how much more interesting and hilarious your childhood shows become as you grow older, wiser, and understand what a double entendre means.
Blossom was known to stepping up the fashion game in the 90’s with her love of denim, floral prints, men’s wear, and last but not least , her big floppy hat. Notice anything interesting about that sentence? If you said “all these are on trend this season”, you would be a million dollar winner! The 90’s vibes are still majorly in this season and I’ve decided to embrace my inner Blossom Russo as well.
I picked up this dress (under $100!!) last week and immediately took it out for a spin over the weekend for The Betches Who Brunch Comedy Tour at City Winery with Peggy. The show was much to be desired, but the weather was beautiful and we had the best day hanging out together in the West Loop. Spring was really showing off and I was able to ditch the heavy coat for a few hours and romp around town in just my go-to jean jacket (pssst.. size down in this style as it runs big) and Sperry sneakers (the white leather are easier to clean!).
Nothing says “she’s got style” when you are happy and comfortable in the clothes you wear.
Have you guys re-watched any of your favorite 90’s shows recently? What should I watch next, I’m open to suggestions!
