Valentine Lace

A lace dress for your Valentine Day date

Love it or Hate it, Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and it’s time crack open the candy hearts to see your fortune.

Over the past few years I’ve been a strict hater of the Valentine holiday. This hate was mostly due to a disastrous first date I had on said holiday in college. Life Tip: never, ever, ever have a first day on Valentine’s Day – it’s a trap.

This year though, I’ve decided to embrace all the love and sweetness that this holiday brings as it provides a nice mental reprieve from the long and cold Chicago winters. Going out with some friends tomorrow (galentine’s day anyone?) or heading out to a nice romantic dinner with you bae? Well you can’t go wrong with a lovely lace dress.

A few weeks ago I paired up this dress that I picked up on sale (pssst. it’s under $100 and comes in black as well) and decided to keep things simple with a monochromatic look. I’ve been obsessed with these lace up pumps since summer when I paired them up with my go-to quarter¬†sleeve dress. They are super comfortable and add a little oomph to your look.

So what are you plans for Valentine’s Day? Heading somewhere special or staying indoors? Well if you are in the Chicago area, come join me post V-day for the U30X Chicago MeetUp.
