Has anyone else noticed the explosion of color that has popped up around the city? Well I definitely have and I’m a huge fan. When you live in a city where white and grey are the natural color palette 8 months out of the year, color in the summer seems so much more vibrant.
I recently passed by a series of doors painted in primary colors. Large doors in the colors of red, yellow, and blue stood out and instantly put a smile on my face. Has anyone ever been Notting Hill in London? It’s been a dream of mine to head out to this colorful London neighborhood just to check out the colorful painted homes myself. Well Chicago, keep up the colorful vibes because I can totally see Chicago’s version of the painted homes being a must see destination.
Speaking of colorful, I’m clearly a fan of colorful outfits lately. August has so far been pretty good to me and I’m wearing my feelings on my sleeve so to say. When I comes to my casual style, I like to stick to a “uniform” of sorts. A simple A-line skirt, a lightweight tank top, and my trusty jean jacket. I’m constantly freezing so I have my jean jacket on me at all times.
So for those of you who live in different parts of the city, have any new street art that you are loving?
