Hello Monday, let’s do this! I’m coming off one of the most productive weekends I’ve had in a long time. As much as I love going out with friends and exploring everything that Chicago has to offer, sometimes it’s nice to spend a weekend checking everything off your to-do list.
Nothing makes you feel more accomplished on the weekends than getting up and actually getting dress. I’m not talking about yoga pants and tanks (although that’s my ideal outfit pretty much any day of the week) but a cute summer color block dress. I picked up this dress for under $100 from my favorite online store, ASOS, and I couldn’t be more excited to wear it out and about this summer. The bright colors and midi length make it the ideal dress for any summer occasion – gotta love clothing items that multitask.
So what’s on my summer agenda? One of my favorite activities to do on the weekend is to grab a coffee at Elaine’s Coffee Call at the Lincoln Hotel, then grab a donut from The Doughnut Vault’s truck, and head on over to the Green City Farmers Market to pick up a fresh bouquet of in season flowers. It’s the ideal way to easy into the weekend on a Saturday morning and you feel extra fancy when you feel your best.
If any of you are in the area, I recommend Perennial Virant for a post farmers market brunch. I recently took my good friend Enakshi there and we loved the seasonal shared S’mores Donut. The menu does change seasonally so I suggest you hop to it quickly to pick up one of these delicious treats.
So what’s on your summer agenda? I’d love to hear how you spend your weekends and balance fun and responsibility!
