The Birthday Dress

So anyone else feel like they need a vacation from the holiday weekend? I sure do! I had a wonderful birthday weekend in the city, but man could I use an extra day just to catch up on errands. #adulting

This past weekend was quite eventful and I loved every single moment of it. I got to check off a lot off of my “must see” list this weekend, much of it included a variety of restaurants and bars. In case anyone didn’t already know, the hangover struggle is real once you hit your late twenties. Like Whoa…

The weather really made Memorial Weekend in Chicago extra fun, especially since last year on my birthday it actually snowed. I took advantage of the weather and brought out one of my favorite summer dresses for a spin. This dress was under $100 and for anyone pear-shaped like me, it’s the perfect fit/flare dress that flatters your figure. Clearly I’m having a blue dress kinda of month…seen here and here.

The best part is this dress has an adjustable waist tie that comes in handy right after a big meal. On that note….If  your looking for a place to patio brunch this weekend, I suggest checking out new Lokal location in Lincoln Park for bottomless mimosas. The food was great but the staff is definitely not holding back on the mimosas. If you are looking to do something more upscale for, The Aviary, is quite a unique cocktail experience. For those of you who haven’t made it to Lost Lake yet in Logan Square, make it a priority to check it out ASAP! (clearly cocktails were in heavy rotation this weekend)

So what did you guys do this weekend? I hope you enjoyed as much of it outdoors as possible!
