For the first time this year, Chicago saw true summer like weather this weekend and I was beyond thrilled. Nothing makes the city of Chicago come alive more than 75* degree days with no humidity. I spent the majority of my weekend enjoying patio season with late night cocktails on Friday night at Barcocina and the grand opening of Smack Shack on Saturday night (seriously everyone must go to this place, it was so good!).
I picked up this dress from brand-new-to-me designer, Yumi Kim, at the last Shopbop sale. We all know that the wrap dress is the most flattering style of dress for women out there but this dress actually made me believe that for the first time ever. I’m personally in love with the bright bohemian print and the A-line cut of the dress made me feel like a million bucks. The plus side was that it hid my food baby after the delicious dinner we had at Smack Shack. I even tried my very first oyster (follow me on snapchat! @caravanofstyle) which did not go so well. Let’s just say that I’m not a fan of the texture.
When it comes to the most walkable summer shoes I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing, the award would go to these Tory Burch wedges. For a pretty high heel, they actually are very comfortable to walk around in. I spent most of my Sunday wearing these wedges and didn’t once reach for my emergency pair of flats that I always keep with me. Let’s just all it a shoe miracle and a total must have pair of shoes that you’ll need this summer.
So let’s fully embrace Summer Shandy season Chicago. I would love to hear your favorite patios around the city because I plan to park it at as many of them as I can this year.
