Anyone else not totally feeling the spring vibes just yet? I’ll be honest with the recent bipolar weather, I feel like I’ve still got a bit of the winter blues going on. Maybe it’s my jam packed schedule and the constant “i’m feeling behind” voice in my head going off, but I could really use a few days of sunshine and relaxation. Since I’m not able to take a vacation anytime soon, I’ve been spending quite a bit of time around lush greenery. I love having the ability to run down the street and spend an hour or two at the Lincoln Park Conservatory. It’s one of the most relaxing places in this city to just unwind after a long day.
Last week on my way home from work, I popped into the conservatory to just unwind before heading home. It was one of the few unusually warm days in Chicago and I was so happy I chose to wear this Theory dress that day. Ever since I made the switch from a start-up company back to corporate, I’ve struggled with finding a wardrobe that’s 100% me yet corporate appropriate. I’m slowly figuring things out and one of my new go-to brands for workplace wear is Theory, with their simple yet structured designs, I’m able to mix and match my wardrobe to go from the workplace to happy hour with just a few accessories. Gotta love it when you find a brand who just speaks to you.
If any of you ladies plan to do some summer shoe shopping, these Tory Burch wedge sandals are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! For such a high heel height, they are beyond comfortable to wear around all day. Since I spend most of my day running around the office, I can personally vouch for their comfort level.
