White Stripe

Happy Leap Day Everyone! I’m somewhat of a superstitious person and have always believed that a Leap Year was extremely unlucky. Fingers crossed I’m wrong about this but throw some table salt across your left shoulder for me if you can.

Even though I had quite an eventful weekend filled with half naked men, follow me on snapchat (@caravanofstyle) if you’re interested in what I’m talking about, I was able to knock out a few things from my to-do list. This weekend I did some necessary spring cleaning of my computer/desk area and stumbled upon these photos that were taken earlier this year before my hair cut. After completing a major wardrobe edit early this year and purging at least 50% of my wardrobe, I’m making some major changes in the pieces I choose to purchase. Since my career requires a more professional wardrobe, dresses that multi-task are key.

I picked up this black and white stripe dress earlier this month and I love how easily I can take it from work to play. The shift dress is uber comfortable with it’s stretchy jersey fabric but professional in it’s unique black & white patter. I especially love the pockets – pockets are key to making my work day a success. I stumbled upon a similar dress by Lauren Conrad’s Paper Crown line at half the cost!

P.S. If you’re doing any Leap Day shopping, ASOS is having a sale. $50 off a purchase of $200+ with code: Fresh50
