So let’s address the elephant in the room – I really love the color emerald green, and yes this is another green outfit. Let’s just say it’s going to be the theme of the week. I think I was a leprechaun in my past life….
I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. With 60 degree weather in Chicago, I was able to ditch the coat and enjoy the entire day outside, something I haven’t done in months. It’s amazing how vibrant the city becomes once the temperature start to rise. So what does one wear when spring like temperatures hit the mid-west in February? Shades of green, of course. You’ve seen me wear these military green trousers (on sale!) many times on the blog and you’ll most likely see them at least 100x more. They are by far the best investment I’ve ever made. Plus, I’m loving that Joie is producing this pant style in another color.
Last year I discovered the brand Oasis via my favorite online retailer ASOS. Oasis has quickly become my go-to brand due to their high quality fabrics and cuts. I picked up this sweater (sadly no longer available) toward the beginning of winter and have found myself constantly reaching for it when I need a more dressed up casual look. The embellished beading on the shoulder add some pop to what normally would be an average sweater.
What else did I do this weekend? Well I invited a friend over for brunch before we headed off to the movies; loved How To Be Single and highly recommend seeing it with your BFF. Rebel Wilson please be my friend! On Sunday, I took in a local musical High Fidelity which I also loved, loved, loved. The musical is already sold out for the rest of its running, however if you live in the Chicago area make sure to get on the Refuge Theatre Project’s mailing list to be in the know for their next show. I expect you’ll be hearing a lot about this theater company in the near future.
With spring just around the corner, what are you most looking forward to doing around the city?
