Chicago has this sneaky way of making you fall in love with it all over again, even when the temperature dip down low. I have a new sense of appreciation for my neighborhood, Lincoln Park is one of those neighborhoods where if you are standing in just the right place, you feel completely removed from the hustle and bustle of the city.
I stayed indoors most of this weekend where I was finally able to get caught up on my fall tv shows and relaxed (something I haven’t done in a long time), I did venture out on Saturday night for dinner with Rachel. Rachel is my sushi buddy and we were finally able to get a table at Toro Sushi (there is always an ungodly long wait for a table), a favorite sushi restaurant of ours.
I’ve been relying on a few staple pieces that I’ve had for a long time, like these boot cut jeans. I’m happy to see the trend move away from skinny jeans and back to more figure flattering styles. A Chicago fall must-have item, the blanket scarf. While the coveted Zara version hasn’t made its way back to stores yet, ASOS has some wonderful alternatives to keeping you warm on those brisk days.
What fall staples do you rely on? Anyone over the blanket scarf trend?
