The big chill of Chicago has really made getting dressed in the morning super difficult. Layers no longer make any difference and most days of the week you will find me in heavy knits and jeans. This past Sunday the temperatures made it’s way into bearable territory and I was able to enjoy a lovely brunch at Range with Christine. For the past few years, I have stocked up on my favorite silk button down shirt from Madewell. I own this comfortable shirt in multiple colors and this rose colored one has always been a favorite. It’s easy to get moody and depressed when the world voids itself color during these cold months, and at times it’s necessary to add that burst of color directly into your life. This rose colored blouse is my burst of color and a great mood booster; it has in the past been my go to top during the winter months. This past weekend I layered on an extra cardigan that I had found during a recently closet clean out to add an extra layer of warmth. Simple is sometimes better.
