Some weekends are meant for cozy sweaters and staying indoors curled up with a great book; and then there are those weekends when one of your best friends makes a surprise visit to Chicago and you spend all night downtown dancing. This weekend was one for the books, a much needed weekend of fun to relieve all the stress that life has recently brought on.
While I’m not usually one for bar nights or staying out past 10pm (yes, I’m a grandma); every once in a while I do get the urge to just go out and let loose. I feel like it can be harder to make the effort to go out when the weather turns cold and windy. I end up choosing my outfit based on whatever items will keep me warm enough for the night. I came across this long sleeve Anine Bing dress during Shopbop’s sale last week (it already sold out!), it was a instantaneous love connect. I love the simplicity of this dress that still has a girly vibe to it with it’s detailed cut out front panel. For a night out I kept my accessories simple and paired the dress with heeled booties. Earlier in the day I kept this casual with a leather jacket and flats, making this dress my fall go-to.
Anyone else do something exciting this weekend?

There have been far too many celebrations going on in my life lately, so I was looking forward to a more low-key weekend with family and friends and that’s exactly what I got 🙂 Letting loose every once in awhile is a must!
26 and Not Counting
That dress looks great on you! i agree that while I like being low key a lot, it’s fun to go out on the town and let loose every once in a while. Glad you had a great weekend!
