After spending a few amazing days in Florida last week celebrating my grandmother’s 75th birthday (a few fun photos of here, here & here), I flew back to Chicago yesterday morning to some less than stellar weather. I felt like I walked into a freezer when I landed and it probably didn’t help that I didn’t bring anything even remotely warm with me for my return trip to the midwest. I guess I just wasn’t ready to give up those sunny 80 degree days I so quickly got use to.
Later that day I ended up meeting my aunt for dinner and decided that it was the perfect day to try out a new color on me. I rarely wear dark colors, expect for black and have been experimenting with various dark fall shades which include burnt orange. I found this midi skirt at Zara earlier last week and the length and color really hide the post vacation bloat I tend to get. I think midi skirts will be my go to clothing item for those “i ate too much” days.
How do you deal with your post vacation bloat?

Love this color on you! Burnt orange and gold are my go to colors for fall. I’m with you about wearing billowy skirts after a vacation or particularly large and delicious meal:)
love the bright orange! xO!

you don’t look bloated! but i always add juice in for a few days and that happily makes me forget 🙂 i love this midi on you & hope to see you soon!!! xox
You looks so cute! Love this color on you! Such a fun skirt 🙂
You look great! I love this skirt and you look wonderful in it. This is a really silly request, but I have this same skirt but cut out the tag (too scratchy! I hate tags) and have misplaced it (a ridiculous and avoidable predicament). If you still have this skirt could you tell me what materials it’s made of and what the tag recommends regarding washing/care? Thank you! Hope you have a lovely day.

Hi Maddie,
I’m sorry, I don’t have the skirt anymore but I remember taking it to the dry cleaners when I owned it. I believe it was a dry clean only garment.
