With warmer temperatures comes the season of weddings. Once you hit your mid-twenties, it feels like half of your summers are spent at different wedding events for various friends. Next month I will be a bridesmaid in my eighth wedding, not including the 3 times I was the most adorable flower girl ever. This week Lindsay and I are sharing our thoughts on proper gifts, dress, and etiquette for your upcoming wedding event. Be sure to check out Lindsay’s post today on unique wedding gifts from local Chicago designers!
In the course of fulfilling your bridesmaid duties, you will be attending various functions such as bridal showers, bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners, etc., which will require a special outfit for each event. My rule of thumb in these situations is to always wear a dress, but something that will showcase your personality and can be re-worn.
I picked up this leopard print dress last year for a bachelorette party and have since worn it multiple ways. This past weekend, Saturday was still a big chilly so I wore my dress but layered on some warmth by throwing on a mesh sweater on top of it and topped it off with a jacket. Oh did I mention that I got to meet and walk Lucy?! Lucy is Lindsay’s sister, and honestly the cutest little baby ever!
