Red Top: 3 Ways

When I first made the decision to move to Chicago, I don’t think I really realized just what a scary adventure it would be. It’s been an amazing experience and I’m glad I went for it but I must say that my blog has been the number one gateway to making new friends and establishing a life here in the city. I’ve treated my blog as a forum to collaborate with others and truly get know others, and as a result I’m hanging out with some pretty awesome ladies these days!
In a new collaboration starting today, I’ll be working with fellow bloggers to show off how each of us has a unique style, and show off the different ways each of us styles a classic clothing item. This month I paired up with Lindsay & Katharine to style this Calvin Klein red button down blouse.
My take on the red blouse – let’s do something different and unexpected. Early last week we had a small glimpse into spring with warmer temperatures that allowed me to ditch my winter coat and pull on my long trench. I loved the idea of pairing two equally similar shades together for a more striking visual. The result – a casual spring brunch outfit that I’ll most definitely be wearing again!

Please make sure to check out Lindsay’s & Katharine’sblogs today to see how they styled this piece! These ladies are totally rocking it!
