Winter Mix

What happens when you dedicate a weekend to knock out everything on your to-do list? You over plan and barely scratch the surface. I’m still trying to learn to not get upset when I don’t accomplish everything on my list. Eventually it will all get done.
Since it literally feels like the longest winter in the history of mankind (I know a little dramatic), I’m having a hard time getting creative with my wardrobe. I’ve totally been stuck in that “I have nothing to wear” rut these past few weeks, but it’s hard to look at all my summer dresses hanging in my closet just yearning to be worn. My mom must have sensed my frustration because for Valentine’s Day she surprised me with a gift – this amazing Michael Kors sweater.  I decided to get funky and paired it with my Topshop printed skirt that has specs of black and silver running through the skirt. I like the way that these two patterns played well with each out without looking like they completely clashed. It may seem unusual but it’s those little details in your favorite items that can be pulled out and inspire you to change up your style and try something new.
