Well I’m sad to say that it’s Monday. I had one of those weekends jam packed with fun and I’m sad to see it go. I started off Friday night with my third Second City Club event with a 1920’s theme. It was truly a great party and I definitely felt like I was transformed back in time to a speakeasy. Check out my instagram photos for a look at the event, including my beautiful fringe dress and a other surprises I found at the venue.
Saturday was mostly spent indoors with Christine catching up on some of our favorite television shows and a few Netflix film recommendations. While nothing productive was necessarily accomplished, it was fun to just relax and bond. My favorite reaction of the night was Christine’s take on the film Drinking Buddies; stating “That was like watching a day in the life of people I never want to meet.”
On Sunday, I met up with Lindsay from The Garden Apt. who helped me snap these photos before the Wind City Blogger Collective Blogging 101 class. Since I knew I had a full day of meetings and errand running, I wanted to stay comfortable with a denim on denim look. Although it did make it’s way in the the upper 30’s that day, I still felt like an extra layer was needed to keep me warm, so I added this textured cardigan over the chambray.
